NWC/TWCA Regional Spotlight on Texas

            

Thanks to everyone who attended the NWC/TWCA Regional Spotlight on Texas which took place August 31, 2022 at the Trinity River Authority office at 5300 S Collins St, Arlington, Texas 76018. The goal of the Regional Spotlight is to create and strengthen connections among the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), applicants, non-Federal sponsors, and stakeholders on water and waterways issues. The sessions will work to educate on USACE Civil Works functions, discuss agency processes, and delve deeper into developing a strong working relationship with the agency.

The Regional Spotlight Agenda, included the following:

  • Keynote: Col. Ken Reed, Commander, Southwest Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
  • Panel Discussion with USACE Commanders from the Tulsa, Galveston, & Fort Worth Districts
  • How to Best Engage with Your USACE District
  • Box lunches + Engaging with USACE on Coastal Flooding
  • USACE Permitting
  • USACE Project Development Process for Water and Waterways Projects
